Celebrating Courageous Advocacy
With words from St Paul creating the foundation for our ethos, our overriding aim is to provide an education for all pupils in our care so that each individual has the opportunity to reach their potential - academically, socially and spiritually. We aim to create an environment where children enjoy learning and are challenged, motivated and see education as a shared and lifelong process. Our children and staff are valued – and in this ethos, all will flourish. Looking more deeply, we seek to encourage behaviours from children which demonstrate an inner confidence to be the voices for those who cannot speak, the eyes of those who cannot see, the ears of those who have no hearing, and the hands and feet of those who cannot move. We know this is how Jesus would want his followers to act in order for everyone to ‘live life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10). We have a duty to be beacons of light in a world which can be very dark indeed. Our school ethos actively encourages our children and adults to seek a world where ‘justice rolls like a river and righteousness like an everlasting stream’ (Amos 5:24).
This is courageous advocacy.
